The notion that … The notion that most people in the Middle Ages believed the world is flat is indeed a myth. But the notion that most people prior to the 6th century BC believed the world is flat is not a myth. Check out Wikipedia’s article on “Flat Earth” for example. Just go back far enough in history — that’s what I was referring to. The “obvious” view is always the first view people hold. The evidence for the spherical nature of the world is not so obvious. Same with the evidence for Divine Incarnations.

i’m fairly certain … i’m fairly certain that the community ran the ad to attract those who didn’t know he existed.
it’s not like Adi Da is a televangelist huckster. (yes,i know he’s now left his body)
He’s the real deal to me. Fully realized being.I’ve read most of his teachings and i’m of a critical nature and never found fault with what he had to say.

Your … Your generalizations don’t really apply to this modern materialistic age! Were Jesus, Buddha, or whomever yuo consider a “true master or saint” to reappear today, they’d be lost in a crowd of competing spiritual teachers and masters, unless they advertised themselves (or more accirately, unless their devotees advertised them, as is the case with Adi Da’s devotees and this ad).

A true master or … A true master or saint never comes out and declares that he is one. Usually those that advertise themselves as saints or masters aren’t.

Watch: “Adi Da … Watch: “Adi Da Samraj: The Bright”
Read His teaching. He is not profoundly understood in soundbites on youtube. It takes study and heart-open wonder. Hang in there and you will wake up.

They are NOT on a … They are NOT on a par! Adi Da is a verifiably real human being. Jesus’s actual existence (in terms of verifiable historical facts) is in question. That there are a lot of Christians is not the same as producing more historical evidence for Jesus’s existence. (Recall when virtually everyone believed the world was flat. A large number of believers doesn’t ensure truth.)

Did Buddha actually come out of the womb, take 7 steps, and declare himself the Buddha?Myth vs. reality is the issue.

He puts himself on … He puts himself on a par with Jesus or Sidartha (buddah) no way!
